Hi everyone! Today I want to talk to you about the importance of movement. It seems like a pretty simple topic, but it’s hugely important! I see many of my friends and fellow healers performing great acts of spiritual and mental discipline. However, so many of them don’t move!

Energy flows though the body. If you have slow spots and blockages, then your energy isn’t going bioenergyto flow as well. If your energy isn’t flowing well, then how can you do good energy work?

The simplest solution is to physically move. Move your body! Get your blood moving, get your chi flowing, breathe deeper and fuller.  You don’t have to set aside an hour of your day to take a yoga class (but that would be awesome). Just stand up, do a few squats or pushups, get your heart rate up, then go back to whatever you were doing.

Exercise oxygenates the blood. It helps you focus, retain information, and make better decisions. It also allows you to access other states of mind and consciousness. Meditation is easier when the body is quieted after exercise.

Air-squat-sideI want to give you a challenge. If you’re already an active person, then great! Do it anyway in solidarity.  For the next week, I want you to do ten squats every day. That’s all. Don’t worry about perfect form or how deep you can go. Just do ten squats.  Not sure how to squat? Start by just sitting then standing up from a solid chair ten times.

Do it! Your body, mind, and soul will thank you.
